Sunday: noon – 4pm
Admission is $7 per person.
The Bayou Country Children’s Museum (BCCM) provides area children and families with opportunities for play, learning and creativity in an informal and innovative setting. Learn about the culture, music, agriculture, food, industry and festivals that make the Cajun culture so unique.
Children can learn as they play on a full-sized sugar cane harvester, spot waterfowl from a duck blind, toss Mardi Gras beads, experience a severe weather simulation and a fire simulation, climb aboard a shrimp boat and oil derrick and so much more! Come See!
Join us for a special opening from 10 am – noon on Sunday, October 19th the museum will be open for families with children with autism and other sensory processing disorders (regular admission fees apply). Enjoy the museum without the loud noises, make new friends, join peer to peer discussions and participate in craft projects sponsored by the Center for Pediatric Therapy. Also for this time only, children may bring their own snacks which must stay in the party room. No nuts please. For more information, call 985-446-2200.
It’s that time! Get your tickets at the museum for the Night at the BOO-seum which will be held on Friday, October 24th at the Thibodaux Firemen’s Fairgrounds! Tickets are $6 in advance at the museum or $8 at the gate.
